We had a rats nest of power strips to accommodate all the things we had in the bedroom TV compartment.
We modified a power strip to solve the rats nest. See Custom Power Strip.

This is the Power USB Hub we are using for the devices in the cabinet behind the bedroom TV.
We normally use super stick Velcro tape to mount devices like the Powered USB Hub but
found that the fabric cover plywood of the compartment did not stick. We cut this piece of PVC sheet to Velcro the Hub to and then screw the sheet to the cabinet wall. |

The super stick Velcro tape and the PVC sheet.
The Powered USB Hub mounted. We left the power cord full length and wire tied it out of the way. Much cleaner that the four USB Power adapters we were using. |

To continue the cleanup of the bedroom TV compartment, we built a small box out of spare wood pieces and covered with some thin carpet for the Winegard Controller for the Trav'ler automatic roof dish. This solved two issues. |
||
One issue was the controller sat behind the lip of the shelf in the compartment blocking part of
the display. By raising the controller, the visibility of the display is better. |
||
Second issue, the space in the box holds the power brick for the controller and most of the
excess power cord. This helps with the cable clutter on the shelf. |
