Watching a wonderful series on the Smithsonian Channel is Aerial America, we became aware of rock outcroppings in western Kansas. We had traveled Kansas several times and were not aware of the formations. The formation is called Monument Rocks ( also as Chalk Pyramids). This rock formation is out in the middle of very flat Kansas land. This is not a National Monument, it is on private property and owners allow access to view the formations. Just one of nature's great gifts. . |
