8/30-9/5/2018	Our location - Bayard, NE Chimney Rock Pioneer Crossing
One of the interesting shows we found on TV was Aerial America on the Smithsonian Channel. Aerial America first covered each state and then broadened out to categories like river, tourist stops, etc. All the film of Aerial America was shot from a helicopter. In covering each state, areas normally not thought of are covered. One that interested us was the southwestern corner of the Nebraska panhandle along the original Oregon trail route, a series of rock formations. That brought us to the Chimney Rock Pioneer Crossing campground for the Labor Day Weekend. .

	The owner of the campground also raises cattle in a field surrounding the park.
	That is Castle Rock, a landmark near the park.

Two of the rock formations in the area are Courthouse Rock and Jail Rock located near Bridgeport, NE.
