Our location - Bonaventure QC

Bonaventure Museum

We toured the museum in Bonaventure QC.  The French name is Musee Acadien Du Quebec A Bonaventure.   We learned about the great deportation of the Acadians from Nova Scotia to Quebec, and other parts of the world like Louisiana when the British forced them out.

After the Museum, we walked across the street to the Fabrique Bonaventure, a grand church.
Bonaventure Museum Silver roofs are prominent on the churches we have seen in New Brunswick and Quebec.  Silver is part of the religion, not sure what the material is. Bonaventure Museum
