The Cedar Rail Campground is located at the top of Raton Pass, right at the New Mexico/Colorado border.
The office is located at highway level and then you climb to the campsites.

The campground is fairly simple with a large gravel
covered area. Most of the sites are back-ins to the edge of
the mountain but there were a few sites that were located along the
edge of the campground that were way more then we needed for out
rig. This isn't a great campground for a long stay but it is really great for a few nights. |
