Tuzigoot NM A little south of Montezuma Castle is another Sinagua tribe settlement in the Tuzigoot National Monument.  This settlement was built on the top of a hill instead of against a cliff.
Tuzigoot NM The Tuzigoot Visitor Center is a result of one of the few successful Stimulus Packages the Federal Government did, better known as the WPA.

This center is the only remaining WPA Visitor Center that is original.

Tuzigoot NM The Tuzigoot settlement was over 20 rooms in one complex with other complexes around the main group.

An interesting point, Tuzigoot existed from 1000-1400 A.D.  The Notre Dame Cathedral was finished in Paris in the 1240's.
