Our next stop is Meteor Crater RV Park, about 20 miles west of Winslow AZ. The office had that geodesic dome roof. |
||
The Meteor Crater RV Park is just off of I40. Yesterday, I40 was close due to high winds and dust storms. We saw traffic stopped as far as we could see. We had winds well over 50 mph. |
||
The sites are not that long but they are very wide. We parked Red Rover next to Tige. | ||

The reason we stopped at Meteor Crater RV Park was to visit Meteor Crater, a huge hole in the ground created by a meteor strike. We were given a interesting and
amusing tour by Edwardo. The tour is a 1/2 mile walk along the rim of the crater and back. |
