West Bend, WI

7/28 - 8/10/2007

Our location - West Bend, WI

Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground

We chose Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground because it was near to Milwaukee so we could visit Mark's relatives and Dale's friends.  We would have stayed at the West Allis State Fair Grounds RV Park like last year except the Wisconsin State Fair is happening while we are here and we did not want to be in the middle of that.

West Bend WI The campground office.  There isn't much in the way of food or household supplies.  A lot of hardware is available (electrical adapters, valves, etc.)

It is obvious that most of this park's business is weekenders.

West Bend WI Lake Lenwood has a classic Wisconsin lake, crystal clear and moderate temperature,  There is boating available.
West Bend WI The beach is available for visitors who are not campers.  This is not always a good thing in an RV park but the beach is right across from the office and the camp sites are located away from the beach public area.

West Bend WI We are actually in a seasonal site that the normal occupant had made several improvements like a patio and a storage shed.  We did not have access to the shed. West Bend WI
West Bend WI With the tree placement, we have a patio that is shielded a bit.  We could only extend the awning a bit because of the trees. West Bend WI
