Eagle River, WI


7/25 - 7/28/2007	Our location - Eagle River, WI Chain O'Lakes
Next stop on our trek through Wisconsin is Eagle River, east of Hayward and just south of the Michigan border. This is the Chain 'O Lakes region of the state with numerous small lakes chained together with narrow inlets.

	Very large entrance area. We like it when there is lots of space at the entrance with enough room for all of our vehicles to pull in with ease.

	Campsite is large enough for *Sparky* to park nearby.
	Somehow Mark found a hole in those trees to find the Internet satellite.

	We visited Bill and Barb Streng, friends of Mark. They have a lovely home on another of the many lakes here in Eagle River.

	Coming from the east coast and having boated on the Chesapeake Bay for many years, we are used to muddy, murky water. Not here in Wisconsin. These lake waters are clear all the way to the bottom.

	We love this house with its fabulous view from the screened balcony.
	A doe stands just off their property. I kept moving closer, shooting pictures as I walked. This is as close as I got before she scooted off.

	Bill and Mark went to Junior and Senior High School together. The last time they saw each other was in 1972.
	They hardly have changed from 1972.
