What's Behind the Dash |
||
Running cables from the navigation computer to the speaker amplifier required going behind the passenger's dash If you ever wondered how empty it is behind there, it isn't.
Tips on removing the upper portion of the passenger's dash. Pry off the speaker grill and remove two screws to remove the speaker. Under the speaker is a bolt that goes into the hole in the picture. When putting the upper dash back, remember the speaker wire.

Cab Cable Access |
||
There is a easy place to get a few cables from inside the cab to the
outside. Take off the driver's side step plate and roll the floormat back. You will find a trough with a pair of plastic encased cable harnesses. Lift the harnesses and you find a couple of holes in the floor covered by thin metal disks. The disks can easily be punched and cables fed through. In the photos, the three cables that go to the cameras are run through the hole. A piece of duct tape will seal the hole. |
