When we had a rear axle track bar installed at
Brazel's Performance RV.
Joey was really handling not that bad but every once is a while a passing semi would
cause some sway. Since so many motorhome uses had added a rear axle track bar,
we decided to add one too. A rear axle track bar keeps the axle from moving side to side which is possible with a leaf spring chassis like the Ford F53. The track bar ties the differential housing to one frame so that the axle can go up and down but not side to side. |

We had a
Ultratrac Trac rear axle track bar to improve how Joey
responds to wind gusts like passing trucks. We choose the Ultratrac because it was what Brazel's handled. We felt that rear axle track bar are fairly generic. |
