Recliner Loveseat

Last Changed 4/18/2016

Loveseat This is the La-Z-Boy reclining loveseat we replaced the L-Sofa that normally comes with a Bounder.

It is an Ace wall hugger with power recline, power and USB outlets in the console.
Loveseat feet off of slide floor The La-Z-Boy recliner loveseat is a wall-hugger but still needs some clearance from the wall and the window treatment that sticks out about 4" from the wall.  This put the front feet of the loveseat past the edge of the living room slide.

Close observation will show the lip of the slide under the carpet.

Slide floor is a few inched back from carpet edge The carpet is lifted to show that the edge of the living room slide floor is back a few inches from the edge of the carpet.

The problem is that when the slide is lifted to be retracted, the loveseat will drop on the slide lip.
Carpeted plywood extensions We had these pieces of 3/4" plywood.  We carpeted them with a thin carpet material.

Covered exposed wiring There were (4) nutplates in the floor that held the normal L-Sofa that is standard on the Bounder.  We had the L-Sofa left out at manufacture.

We repositioned the seatbelts that were left without the L-Sofa using one of the nutplates.

The power cables are normally under the L-Sofa.  We wrapped some carpet around the power cables at the ends for a neater look.
Extensions in place We positioned our carpeted plywood pieces.  Two of the pieces. were over the nutplates so we bolted them  and added a screw.  The other two pieces were screwed to the slide floor.

Used seatbelt to hold loveseat We wrapped the repositioned seat belts around the rear frame of the loveseat.

We did this to hold the loveseat onto the living room slide.
Loveseat The loveseat now moves with the living room slide without dropping and the seat back of the loveseat clears the window treatment.
