Since we will be connecting a GPS Puck, a second
monitor, speakers, and maybe more, we decided to use a powered USB
hub to connect the items used for GPS Navigation. That made the
cable connections to the PC just two, one USB cable and the power
cable. |

We used using this
HUB. Besides 7 USB ports, the Hub also has charge ports which the cell phone/ Kindles can use. |

We mounted the USB hub and an extension cord under the passenger dash. There is an AC receptacle just under the dash near the floor. | |

Change to Android9/15/2016By using an On-the-Go (OTG) cable. The OTG cable plugs into the charging port of the Android device and allows regular USB devices to be attached. All the devices we had on the USB worked with the Android device using the OTG cable. We decided to not use the OTG cable and rely on the built-in GPS function of the Android tablets. |
