Air-Card Coverage

Last Changed 12/31/2010

One of the weaknesses of air-card use is area coverage.  Unlike the  people coverage that AT&T likes to promote, 97% of the people does not mean good coverage in the West.
This is the route we took in 2010.  We used this as a baseline for where we would expect wireless coverage for an air-card. Air-Card Coverage

Sprint has lots of coverage in the East but the West is pretty weak.

AT&T has more coverage in the West but there are still a lot of gaps.

There are still gaps in the West but there it was seldom that our route was in a non-coverage area.

As far as we are concerned, Verizon Wireless provides the best coverage for us.
